THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY
We are seeking an analytical and driven Field Systems Engineer (FSE). The FSE will work alongside the engineering team, Inside and Outside Sales teams, key customers and clients to establish technical requirements, provide remote and on-site technical support, as well as identify new ways our equipment can be used by the customer. This role will report to the Engineering Director. The Field Systems Engineer is responsible for assisting our Sales teams, customers and distributors in the proper fit and function of company’s products. This position will also play a critical role in planning, organizing, and assisting in new product development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify, recommend and provide reliable equipment solutions for technical applications
to assure proper equipment selection to meet customer requirements
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge and application expertise
• Offer input into new product development to ensure we offer competitive products and
services based on market input and distributor feedback
• Deliver pre and post-sales support by assisting with technical advice and assistance to
customers and distributors when required
• Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements
• Support new product development as required by working with product managers to
offer best in class products
• Assist with / perform tests, startup’s and training services
• Assist with / perform technical/Product training for sales, engineers and customers on
site, in classroom and at industry events
• Prepare technical specifications in line with customer requirements to ensure products
meet expectations
• Preparation of technical offers, quotations, aggregate flow analysis, and plant
optimization
• Complete any special projects as required. May be assigned to other areas based on
business or customer requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Minimum 7-years’ experience as a Field Systems Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant industry experience
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and literature
  • Proficiency in Inventor or other CAD software is essential.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding the proper use and application of pneumatic conveying equipment and/or other bulk dry material handling equipment.
  • Outstanding communication required with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proven attention to detail and a strong team player with proven experience of working collaboratively with a range of departments
  • Problem solving and time management skills required
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast moving environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Travel up to 50%

Location and Reporting
• Position is Ontario, CA (for local applicants) or remote office.
• Position reports to the Vice President of Engineering.
