ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Do you consider yourself to be highly self-motivated with a passion for government program finance? How would you like to join a great team as the new Manager of Program Finance with a long standing and growing Aerospace company? If it is yes to both then please read on!
This is a brand new position and we are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Government Accounting and Compliance Manger to support the government accounting and compliance function within Finance. As a key member of the Finance Department, you will be working closely with the company’s Cost Accounting Manager and Chief Financial Officer to develop and submit Forward Pricing Rate Proposals, Provisional Billing Rates, Incurred Cost Submissions, interface and support DCAA and DCMA audits, and upload SAP rate updates and assure that the proper costs are applied to inventory transfers within MEC. Also support proposal pricing and special projects across multiple Marvin companies. This is a high visibility position with considerable growth opportunities within the company. Responsibilities:
Review and concur with company FPRP, fact-find and negotiations with ACO including Provisional Billing Rates
Focal Point for DCMA and DCAA proposal audits affecting actual cost requests and review of proposal rates including material/labor escalations, scrap/rework factors and Weighted Fee Guidelines.
POC for FAR Cost Estimating, Accounting System and Timekeeping reviews.
Team member, FAR business system reviews and approvals outside of Financial/Cost related systems
Assist in the development of Program Finance, Cost Accounting and Finance procedures and work instructions
Project lead on special projects including SAP System Enhancement and BW, BI custom reporting as requested
Lead and participate on project teams to clearly define requirements, functional specifications working with performing organizations and Marvin Group IT personnel as required
Prepare briefings and present to Program Finance, Finance and Executive management
Train others on proper recording of costs and use of SAP and custom systems for the proper recording and analyzing of labor, material and ODC costs

BACKGROUND PROFILE
5-7 years of combined government accounting, cost accounting, rate development or audit experience with DCAA, DCMA, or a prime contractor or major subcontractor is preferred.
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense or related industry
Experience with FAR, DFARS, CAS and government contracting and cost principles
Exposure to SAP ERP working in an EMD or Production Environment
Familiar with FFP, FPI, CP and T&M contract types.
Proficient in Excel pivot tables, vlookups and formulas
Bachelor’s Degree Finance or Accounting, MBA and/or CPA is a plus
