THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
 

Sales & Marketing Analyst 3 with a "can-do" disposition to work in our Buford Office!  The candidate in this vital role, tracks, identifies, analyzes and explains sales and market trends, reviews segments, customers, and products and recommends sales and marketing plans to management. The ideal candidate will have a team-orientated mindset, adaptable to changing priorities/deadlines, and comfortable with a fast-pace working environment.  

*The role will allow employee to work remote but will also require on-site work based on business needs.

**Some domestic travel may be required to support marketing activities.


Responsibilities:
  • Tracks progress toward business plan targets and explains variances by identifying trends in sales and the market environment.
  • Recommends changes to current and next term's sales and marketing business plans. Identifies economic, end user trends and competitive situation to include in the market environment report.
  • Prepares a variety of reports to assist management with future sales planning.
  • Compiles data on sales, segments, customers and products. Identifies trends and recommends necessary action for business unit to achieve current term sales objectives and next term's Sales and Marketing strategy deployment
  • Reports sales and marketing information and research to company affiliates.
  • Prepares new product market plans by analyzing and summarizing customer expectations, market situation and end user movement.
  • Identifies company's strengths and customer's value retirements, and recommends sales expansion plans.
  • Determines sales statistics by adjusting inventory differences, unpaid rebate payments and claim accruals based on sales contracts and raw data from RIPICS.
  • Supplies information to Cost Accounting for Journal entries into accounting system and resolves variances with Cost Accounting as needed.
  • Maintains sales control system used for sales analysis and reporting: updates information, troubleshoots problems, and collaborates with IT/S to create data storage folders.
  • Builds and maintains Louts Notes database used for sales analysis and reporting.
  • Daily interaction with Sales and Marketing management regarding sales and marketing plans.
  • Daily interaction with Sales and Marketing staff to share sales information and coordinate projects.
  • Regular interaction with Information Technology staff to resolve systems and database issues.
  • Regular interaction with Business Analysts on budgets and sales performance results.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field required
  • 5-7 years of B2B sales analysis experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced Excel skills required, with experience using v-look up, pivot tables, VBA/Macros.  Thorough knowledge of databases and data analysis techniques.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills preparing presentations and presenting to management.
  • Working knowledge of MS Access or other relational databases highly preferred.
  • Some domestic travel may be required to support marketing activities.
  • Ability to speak/read/write Japanese, preferred.
