Seeking an energetic and self-motivated Production Supervisor to support company’s Thermal Face Coating department at our Lawrenceville campus. The work hours are from 6:00pm to 6:00am on a rotating schedule. 

In this fast-paced environment, the Production Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of production operators by coordinating and prioritizing activities relating to materials, labor, and equipment to ensure area production and quality goals are met and maintain daily production records and progress reports.  The Production Supervisor will be challenged with organizing and assigning work to ensure it is completed safely in accordance with internally established procedures and quality standards using good management practices in order to meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Plan daily operations and make routine adjustments to work assignments, production processes, and equipment to meet production schedules and targets.
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting production problems and/or product quality issues involving manufacturing processes.
  • Investigate and determine the root cause of failures and problems and recommend countermeasures or changes, collaborating with Maintenance, Engineering and QC
  • Participate in the testing and implementation of new products into production, including monitoring process and gathering data on results.
  • Analyze production data and identify trends, problems, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supervise the work performance of hourly employees, which includes giving daily work direction, training and coaching for development, conducting performance appraisals, monitoring attendance, and administering disciplinary action as needed.
  • Conduct tours of production area to provide management support for problem resolution and policy compliance, and ensure work instructions, company policies, quality and safety standards are followed at all times.
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties which include developing procedures, forms, and presentations; generating daily production and quality reports and statistics; reconciling inventory; and promoting and guiding employees' participation in Kaizen, safety circle, and 5S activities.

  • Located approximately 30 miles Northeast of Atlanta Metro Area and approximately 45 minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
  • 3+ years' supervisory experience in a continuous processing manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading a team of 10+ operators highly preferred.
  • Experience in thermal ribbon, slitting, chemical applications, paper applications and/or high-speed, continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with continuous improvement/process improvement teams preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, math skills to calculate yields, variances, material & labor costs.
  • Good project management and multi-tasking skills preferred
  • Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power-Point) skills at intermediate level.
  • Able to work 6pm-6am, 12-hr rotating schedule as well as some holidays.
