THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer for research and development of the company’s unique handheld EDM tools, systems and processes. The ideal candidate will be a degreed engineer, experienced in Solidworks who is “hands on” and can design mechanisms as well as assemble prototypes, conduct experiments and perform qualification testing.
We would be looking for someone with more electromechanical experience. It would be helpful if they have some insight or exposure into systems engineering for electrical circuits Ideal candidates familiar with programming (java, C++, python, etc.), Circuit analysis, motor controls (software and hardware), app development, etc. Exposure to design process or small project management experience is a plus.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Participate in design decisions
Conduct experiments and perform qualification testing
Design and assembly prototypes
Work closely with engineering management and Sales/Applications teams

Located in Huntington Beach, CA in the heart of Orange County and next to the beautiful Southern California beaches and 15 minutes to John Wayne Airport (SNA) and 45 minutes to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

3+ years or more related hands-on experience in both electro-mechanical design and robotics.
2D and 3D CAD expertise using the latest release of Solidworks
Well versed in programming (java, c++, python, etc)
Exposure with circuit analysis
Experience with motor controls (software and hardware)
