Working within the Integrated Systems Division, this Software Engineer will play a critical role transitioning software prototypes into production code, preparing technical documentation, and managing engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Involvement with application software development for imaging systems, sensors, data analysis, software control of hardware systems, modeling, and simulation
  • Hands on development of application software for modeling, simulation, data analysis, and visualization applications
  • Torrance, CA is ranked in the Top 25 of “Best Suburban Cities to live in Los Angeles County” (based on factors including: crime/safety, housing, diversity, nightlife/recreation, school system, and the ability to raise a family)
  • Located near the Los Angeles County and Orange County border opens up an endless possibility of fun recreational activities without the hassle of a tourist community.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Master’s Degrees a plus
  • 5+ years experience in software development using tools such as: Qt, Visual Studio, debuggers, databases on Linux and Windows platforms
  • Expert skills with C, C++, Java, Perl, and Python programming and Linux OS
  • Experience with development tools including Eclipse and version control systems
  • Experience in design, development, and unit/system level testing for application software based on libraries such as OpenCV, R, CUDA, BOOST, GIS, or similar
  • Must have experience with technical writing to produce software documentation
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to learn and work in a wide range of application domains including, but not limited to: image processing, modeling/simulation and visualization, data analysis, and networking
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance (i.e. U.S. Citizenship, Clean Background, etc.)
